That's why, you missed the part where I said I wasn't going to use my arms ;) That way I can be kind of jogging.

I also didn't go very hard because I don't want to be heavy breathing since that can make it sore as well. What a mess! lol

Val, is your ribs still hurting?

If they are I would definitely take things as slow as possible. Although the elliptical puts no pressure on joints, it requires fast movement of the arms in line with the legs, isn't it? Wouldn't that hurt your ribs more?

If it doesn't hurt you or feel uncomfortable in any way, I would say go for it! But if it does, rather take it easy!

Welcome to my site. Why do you suggest walking instead of elliptical? Just curious. :)

Elliptical puts absolutely no up and down pressure on my body, it's a smooth motion. Where the treadmill puts a little bit of jostling into my system. I can't stand to walk to that is a big personal decision as well. I have to hit the incline REALLY high to get my heartrate up to where it belongs.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll look forward to hearing your opinions. I'm always game for others opinions!

Hope you feel better soon, but if I were you I would rather stick to walking at a moderate pace and not use the elliptical trainer.
