Soccer

Oh boy, I was not into going to soccer tonight.  I really don’t like late games.  By 7pm on a sunday night I’m ready to hunker down and become one with the couch, not go get revved up and rocking on the field.  Add to it that I was worried about what it was going to do with my insides and I was trying to get out of it.  Only way I could do it was to lie though and I am really bad at lieing.  lol

So I went and was running, knees didn’t hurt too bad so that’s good.  My insides didn’t hurt any worse than normal, another good.  But then the lights didn’t come on.  The other team scored on us the last 10 minutes of the first half and that was totally unfair.  They had light from that direction from the shopping center behind our goal.  All we had our direction was shadows.  The game should have been called earlier.

Half time is called and he says he’s going to go call the coordinator or call the game.  Cool.  I start walking across the field and man my insides feel bruised.  I can now feel how they’ve been bouncing inside this whole game.  Not good.  I’m used to stretching away any pains and this is just not stretchable.  lol

Needless to say the lights did not come back on so we will make up the game.  I have appointment with my specialist on Thursday and even if he says I can play I don’t think I will next Sunday.  We’ll see.  It’s difficult for me to say no when I know they need me.  So I guess I better not lie, it will depend on what the doctor says.  lol  Hubby is going in with me so he’ll make me follow the docs instructions.

It was really difficult to go to sleep last night with the extra pain and tylenol doesn’t help.  I’m allergic to advil and that is the miracle drug that actually does anything, so I’m just a mess.  I need to stay away from jogging and biking.  I’m tired of the elliptical.  How to work out when your body isn’t cooperating?  I’ve never had to even think about it before for myself, this stinks.

4 days and counting

Alright, I’m rocking the workouts.  Sunday and Monday hubby and I worked out together and they were ok.  I did better on the cardio on monday, but at least I did them.  Tuesdays 20 minutes of cardio was just brain numbing.  Thankfully I had 2 friends complaining with me every second of the way.  We so did not want to be doing it.  Yesterday I did not want to do cardio at all.  So I decide I’ll start the Jillian workout from her “Making the Cut” book again.

Thankfully again a friend was on her way to the gym.  So one friend got to be the timer, she’s too ill still to even try this workout, and my friend and I worked hard at killing ourselves.  lol

I told her same time, same bat channel for todays workout and we’ will hit day two on Jillians workout.

Don’t think I should have done that.  I’m fighting hard to get there.  Thursdays are generally my light day at the gym, so no afternoon/evening appointments.  But I really need to get in there and try to get a few more clients.  And I need to get that workout in.  But I’m on a biz roll adding ebooks to my wellness site and I just don’t wanna.

I know better and should have just gone in this morning.  And I’ve been so tempted to just text my friend and bail on her.  BUT THEN…commercial for biggest loser just came on.  OK, I got the hint.  I’ve hit 4 days in a row and today will be 5.  Tomorrow is just a measly 20 minutes of cardio and some abs.  I can do this, it’s a 45 minute workout and I need to keep it at that.  No standing around chatting, just get it done!

I’ll post tonight or tomorrow and let you know the status of the day.  I know I will feel so much better when I do it, but just so much to do at home!  lol

Abs

As some of you readers may know I am a personal trainer. But she has weight issues you say? Weird huh? I’m human. lol

I’ve been slacking on my abs lately and was pretty tired of it. Nothing worse than getting down to show someone the routine you want them too and your abs are burning after just a few. OOOPS! My bad!

So I am back to doing abs with a minimum of one client a day. I usually hit 2 clients because once is just not enough for my abs and if it’s two newer clients in a day then that is not going to be difficult enough for me to feel it.

I’m so much happier about this. Schedule once or twice into your day that you hit abs. It can be while you are watching tv. Between shows works well and gives you a time to start and better yet, a time to stop. lol Just hit it hard in those 5-7 minutes.

Guilt for Sat.

This new allergy medecine is not to be taken lightly.  WOW, it had me sleeping for over 12 hours and then I still didn’t really want to get up.  So weird.

So needless to say, by the time I got up at 1:30pm most of my day was shot.  I didn’t make it to the gym and do my killer workout like I was supposed to.  :(

This week I have been following a strict and hardcore workout.  It’s very difficult, but honestly my back is really taken well to it.  I need to hit the back workout again tomorrow here at home since it’s Mother’s Day and I won’t find time to get to the gym.  I really can’t go two days without working out.  I have enough guilt right now.

I’ve been going back and forth between 172 and 174.  But I’m very happy that I am keeping at the low 170’s for good now!  It’s a major step in the right direction.  woohoo, first goal of 165 is in site and when I hit it, it will be easy to maintain and move down from there.

Boing, boing, boing

Did you hear the scale.  That’s the sound of it bouncing all over the place again.  I’m so tired of being sick.  I have not worked out in almost 2 weeks.  I tried to last Sat. and literally almost threw up.  I couldn’t breath and I felt green.  It’s now Friday and I’m going to hit it good today for the first time in so long.

I’m still going to focus on the cardio and the jogging in particular.  We are doing the sound to narrows 12k on June 14th.  Plenty of time to get there.  I’m going to ease into my cardio today with hubby thankfully.  Do some light weights and lots of them and then hard on the abs.  I’ll hit abs again with my evening client.  The scale said 178.5 this afternoon.  :(

PS-quick update:  I wrote this post while at work with no internet access.  lol  I burned 450 calories on the elliptical and jogging.  We also did push ups on the bosu ball, dips on the bench and then leg lifts into hip raises and a set on the ab bench machine.  Just the basics today and it felt pretty good.

Lack of Workouts

Wow, last week I worked out one day out of 7.  Yikes, that is scary.  Today is Tuesday and I haven’t gotten a workout in yet this week either.  My weight was 176 yesterday, but that is pure luck if I don’t get my butt on cardio.  Only 11 pounds left to go to that first goal.  I don’t even have to hit it hard this week, I just have to hit it.  That is my goal this week.  To just get my cardio in, slow and sure.  Burn those extra calories 5 more days this week.

That leaves no time for a slack off day.  That is T-Sat.  Friday is the only day I have to finagle the workout in.  I’ll be in class all day, but my gym is 24 hour, so that is by far no excuse.  lol  I will have more time today and tomorrow, so I think I might do some extra because Thursday I will be sporadically hitting the cardio between weigh ins and probably not getting a full 20 min. at once.

I hit 100 calories this morning before an appointment so that’s a good start.  I’m going back to work right now, so we’ll see what else I can burn.  :)

Runners High!

I found it again!  I haven’t had the runners high in months.  cardio has just been something I have to do and I begrudged it totally.  Sat. I worked out with my favorite client and it was time to kick her butt.  I found it and we went for it.  We hit 3 different cardio machines to get to her 500 calories burned and we jogged/recovered on the treadmill for 20 min. of it.  It was awesome!

Especially since I got all revved up in the morning so I had the energy to come home and muddle through daily tasks and bug my family with cheeriness.  lol

Diet kills weight loss

I’ve rocked the workouts this week.  It’s finally friday and I’ve jogged 3 days.  Hubby and I are going to go jog outside in a few hours, he had too much breakfast and can’t do cardio yet.  lol  But alas, I’ve burned about 1800 calories on cardio machines in 4 days and I’m up to 181.5 again.  My food has to be out of control.  So it’s back to fitday.com and documenting everything.  I’ve got to, I’m working way too hard not to be losing.  I’m going to end up getting frustrated really soon and then not doing my cardio again.  That’s just not good.  So I’ll document my food and put it in the fitday site.  They have a version I can buy to keep on my computer and I just may purchase that the first of the year.  At first I couldn’t see why I would want to since the site has free accounts.  But it’s for the times like right now when I don’t have internet.  I could be loading it in there right now while I sit here writing programs at the gym.

I did a good leg workout today and my hips hurt.  My butt was killing me earlier, but I’m sure it will be worse tomorrow.  lol  I only got 100 calories on the bike, that sucks.  I’m going back to the gym tomorrow so I will hit some hard cardio.  I don’t plan on doing weights.  Just cardio and abs.

Pity party

Well I woke up this morning to no internet yet again.  It’s day 3 and I’m going to lose my mind and I’m missing out on business.  Here I sit blogging old school like Doogie Houser.  lol  Just on my computer until I can copy and paste it into my blog.  I feel so cut off from the world.

Anyway, I’m just having a rough week and the lack of internet is not helping.  I’m stressing about a lot of things and I’m feeling hungry because of it.  I wish I had gone to bed earlier last night so I wouldn’t have had that last snack.  I’m tired of the emotional eating and I’m tired of the emotional roller coaster I’ve been riding on this year.

I will stay at the gym longer than normal today so I’m away from food.  I have my snacks packed already.  Then I’ll just walk here and there, and do some shoulders today I think.  Abs are in order as well.  After my last appointment I’ll hit the cardio hard before coming home.  I’m just not in the mood to move off the couch.  I’m very glad that I have appointments so I have to go.  lol

PS.  I did a killer jogging workout with a client tonight.  Burned 600 calories for the day.  100 over my goal.  ;)

Write out a plan

Besides diet I need to write out my workouts for the week and stick to them.  I just kind of go willy-nilly and do what I want.  Is that what I recommend to my clients?  Hell NO!  Then what the heck am I doing for myself.  Nothing good that’s for sure.  And did I really just type willy-nilly?  What am I 6?

So I guess that will be on my plan for the day as well.  Write out what to do for workouts and also my diet.  ugh, gotta get in a groove and stay with it.  I can’t keep doing this yo-yo with the weight.

I wrote up a program and it’s not much.  I can push it to be more of course, but I didn’t want the gung ho program I usually do.  Obviously that isn’t getting done, so why bother trying?  lol  I’ll start it today.  It of course focuses mostly on cardio.  I bulk up easily enough it’s time to slim on down.  Ok, it’s way past time, but I can only start with today.
